As a speech therapist, she helps people with communication disorders overcome barriers in their lives. After working as a clinical team assistant in home care and hospice for several years, Abigail felt a strong desire to work more closely with the people she encountered.
Abigail holds an MA in Speech Language Pathology from University of Massachusetts Amherst, an SM in Science Writing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BA in Poetry from Columbia College Chicago. She is nationally-certified by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA), and licensed in the state of Massachusetts. Abigail holds special certifications in Supportive Communication for Aphasia and SPEAK OUT!Ⓡ voice therapy for Parkinson's.
Abigail believes that effective speech therapy considers the whole person, in their environment, with the people in their lives. She works closely with patients, their families, and their communities to develop personalized treatment plans.
